First, there’s Claire.

Claire is my housekeeper. An extremely good one. She keeps the place spotless, knows where everything is and has developed the useful ability to look at one of my new ideas without actually saying anything.

Then there’s me. Si.

I own the place and spend an unreasonable amount of time wondering what dogs might want from a holiday.

Apparently quite a lot.

This is how we ended up with bowls, treats, poo bags, tiled floors, a warm outdoor dog shower and somewhere for last-thing-at-night poopies.

Because I’ve never really understood places that call themselves dog-friendly and then spend the entire stay looking suspiciously at the dog.

Here, they’re expected.

The beach is across the road. They can use it all year. The New Forest is just inland. There are things to sniff absolutely everywhere.

Small humans are welcome too. They’re generally stickier than the dogs, so feel free to use the warm outdoor shower on those as well.

Social Services are apparently fine with it. Probably.
